Financial Equity
Everyone deserves economic mobility but statistics show some groups are faced with extraordinary challenges. Kaleb Cares seeks to augment financial literacy efforts by advancing the mindset necessary for growth and by coupling information with exposure to experiences and spaces for those who have been systemically omitted from opportunities to build wealth.
Wellness
In many communities, the resources, time and space to practice true self care is a luxury that is out of reach. The Kaleb Cares Foundation seeks to support efforts that educate the community on the importance of a holistic approach to wellness. We seek to partner to raise awareness about the importance of quality rest, food as medicine and regular movement.
Legacy
Many reference "generational wealth" and "general health." The link to these legacies are our Seniors. Our goal is to uplift Seniors as the cornerstones of our heritage. This means partnering to address the unique needs they face as they age including recognition for their contributions, engagement for knowledge transfer and support for affordable housing.
The Kaleb Cares Foundation, Inc. has obtained the designation of 501(c)3 from the Internal Revenue Service and a financial statement is available upon written request from the Virginia Department of Agricultural Services Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs.
The Founders
Micah and Kandi Hall have been quietly supporting the Hampton Roads community since 2011. After giving birth to twins, they had pivotal discussion about what they might do for the rest of their lives for free. Having been raised by a father who was an Army Veteran and Minister and a Mother who spent her career in Healthcare and personal work as a Missionary, Micah’s desire was and remains to be support for Seniors as they age.
Kandi having been raised in the projects by a single Mother and having survived heart failure at the age of 29 is passionate about the exposure and support needed to empower individuals to overcome barriers in building wealth and prioritizing wellness.
In 2023, these three areas converged and the Kaleb Cares Foundation was established to address the needs of Seniors, assist in bridging the wealth gap and promote proactive management of health.
WHAT WE
